Marble has been used for centuries, all over the world and is a timeless choice for kitchen countertops. Marble clads the Taj Mahal, The Colosseum, and many other structures that have been standing for over a millennium! There is no doubt that marble is timeless and durable. Most people shy away from using marble in a kitchen since it is prone to etching, a physical change in the stone caused when exposed to something acidic. Etches and scratches will happen to your marble countertops. Those who appreciate the beauty of Marble, understand this is part of its charm. If you like the idea of your countertops growing and aging with your home over time, Marble may be a good choice for you. If you want a “show” kitchen, marble may not be a good choice for you.

Countertops
This customer chose to do a digital layout of their countertops prior to the fabrication (aka cutting and polishing), of their kitchen. With the use of a software called Slabsmith, we are able to take your digital template and lay out the pieces of your kitchen on the slabs you have chosen. This allows you to see what your new countertops will look like before we cut anything. Envisioning the end product can be difficult for some, but thanks to modern software we are able to help you see your new countertops so that you are certain you are getting exactly what you want.
